On December 16, 2025, Logan County Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay.
On December 15, 2025, Logan County Schools will be operating on a NTID (Non-Traditional Instruction Day).
Logan County Schools will be closed today, December 12, 2025.
Non-Traditional Instructional Day (NTID) packets should have been sent home with students. Some were sent home last week, and others may be coming home later this week.
Please note that these packets are not for regular snow days or for the days we recently missed due to heating issues. They are to be completed only when the county officially calls an NTID.
On NTID days, teachers will be available by phone or email to support students. All completed work must be turned in and will be graded.
I apologize for the late update, but we have just received confirmation that the heating issue has been resolved. School will be in session tomorrow. We look forward to seeing all of our students tomorrow.

Man Elementary
“Treemendous Attendance” Initiative
December 2025
Logan County Schools’ Attendance Policy requires 90% of students to be present 90% of the time.
From December 1-18, 2025, classes can earn lightbulbs to decorate our school tree.
*Each day that 90% of students are present, the class earns one bulb.
*There are 14 days, so classes can earn up to 168 lightbulbs total.
*Our school goal is to earn at least 151 lightbulbs to receive the award.
*Reaching this goal means 90% of our students were present 90% of the time from December 1-18.
Get ready for the coziest, most magical celebration of the season! If students work hard to earn their lightbulbs, they will enjoy a special reward...A school-wide viewing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! But that’s not all…
*Wear your favorite pajamas and rock your reindeer antlers like a superstar while enjoying yummy refreshments while you watch!

💚🤍 Pioneer Families — Important Update! 🤍💚
After Thanksgiving break, our 2nd–4th grade students will be bringing home a Pioneer Student–Parent Behavior Compact. This form outlines our school-wide expectations for behavior in the hallway, classroom, cafeteria, and playground.
We are committed to keeping Man Elementary a safe, respectful, and structured place for all of our Pioneers to learn and grow — and we appreciate your partnership!
👉 Please review the compact with your child, sign it, and return it to school.
Thank you for supporting our Pioneer students! 💚🤍

We know the road construction is causing delays in the mornings. Please plan to leave a little earlier to help avoid tardies, or consider having your student ride the bus. Thank you for your cooperation.
We didn't realize Man Middle School had awards scheduled the same day. We want to ensure families have the opportunity to attend both so we are making a time adjustment for our awards. Please call us with any questions at 583-8316.
Mr. Barrett

Attendance matters! Being in school every day helps students build strong learning habits, stay on track, and succeed. Missing just a few days can add up and make it harder to catch up. Let’s work together to make every day count—because showing up is the first step to success!
Dear Friends and Family,
Last year our 4th grade classes had a huge outpouring of support for our project, "Hearts Across America." 📫It was a wonderful learning experience for our students. This year, our 4th grade classes will once again be participating in an amazing project called "Hearts Across America." Our goal is to receive a Valentine, postcard, or card from each of the 50 states 💌. We will also accept cards from other countries. We have a map of the United States and as we get a Valentine, we will place a heart on our classroom map showing the state from which it was sent.
In order for the project to be successful, we need your help. Please send our class a Valentine card or postcard from your state. We will be eagerly waiting for your Valentine! We would love to receive them before February 14th, but we completely understand if they come a little later!
Thank you so much with your help for our class project!💌📫💖💕💞🩷

Man Elementary’s Stuff the Turkey program was a huge success thanks to the generous donations from our students & their families. The program is a service project which allowed our 1st & 3rd graders to count & sort donated items into making 10 Thanksgiving baskets. 🦃
