Despite our efforts to adjust schedules and remain flexible, frequent tardy arrivals during breakfast are impacting valuable instructional time, as teachers must delay classroom learning to escort students to breakfast.
To help address this, please note the following procedures:
The car rider door will be open from 7:55–8:10 a.m.
Students arriving after 8:10 a.m. must be walked into the main office and signed in as tardy (ID required).
Please do not enter the bus loop before 8:10 a.m.
Breakfast service ends at 8:45 a.m. so staff can prepare for the middle school lunch schedule.

Man Elementary School’s Valentine’s Dance is February 12th at 5:00 – 7:00. Admission is $3 per person. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Pizza, drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase! We can’t wait to celebrate Valentine’s with our MES families!
Reminder: There will be no Pre-K classes tomorrow, Friday, January 16th.
Also, there will be no school on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

We had a great time at our Title I Parent Workshop! Students created their own goal-setting wands and used them to set both an academic goal and a personal goal. 🪄🎯
It was wonderful to see them thinking about their future, believing in themselves, and learning how to work toward their dreams. Thank you to all the parents who joined us and helped make this event a success!

Instruction starts promptly at 8:15 a.m. Breakfast is available from 8:00–8:15 a.m. Students are expected to be in their classrooms and ready to learn by 8:15 each morning.

On December 16, 2025, Logan County Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay.
On December 15, 2025, Logan County Schools will be operating on a NTID (Non-Traditional Instruction Day).
Logan County Schools will be closed today, December 12, 2025.
Non-Traditional Instructional Day (NTID) packets should have been sent home with students. Some were sent home last week, and others may be coming home later this week.
Please note that these packets are not for regular snow days or for the days we recently missed due to heating issues. They are to be completed only when the county officially calls an NTID.
On NTID days, teachers will be available by phone or email to support students. All completed work must be turned in and will be graded.
I apologize for the late update, but we have just received confirmation that the heating issue has been resolved. School will be in session tomorrow. We look forward to seeing all of our students tomorrow.

December 2025
Logan County Schools’ Attendance Policy requires 90% of students to be present 90% of the time.
From December 1-18, 2025, classes can earn lightbulbs to decorate our school tree.
*Each day that 90% of students are present, the class earns one bulb.
*There are 14 days, so classes can earn up to 168 lightbulbs total.
*Our school goal is to earn at least 151 lightbulbs to receive the award.
*Reaching this goal means 90% of our students were present 90% of the time from December 1-18.
Get ready for the coziest, most magical celebration of the season! If students work hard to earn their lightbulbs, they will enjoy a special reward...A school-wide viewing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! But that’s not all…
*Wear your favorite pajamas and rock your reindeer antlers like a superstar while enjoying yummy refreshments while you watch!
