Just a reminder our Christmas Program is tomorrow! Pre-K through 1st Grade will start at Noon. 2nd through 4th Grade will begin at 1 p.m. I hope to see you there!!

To give everyone enough time to plan, here are the details: 📅 Date: Friday, December 20th 🕛 Times: Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade: Performance begins at 12:00 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade: Performance begins at 1:00 PM We anticipate wrapping up before Man Middle School’s dismissal; however, to ensure smooth traffic flow, we kindly ask no parking in the bus loop. Man Elementary’s Stuff the Turkey program was a huge success thanks to the generous donations from our students & their families. The program is a service project which allowed our 1st & 3rd graders to count & sort donated items into making 10 Thanksgiving baskets. 🦃

🎃👻 **Spooky Week Reminders for Man Elementary!** 👻🎃 Here’s what’s coming up: 🗓️ **Monday, October 28th** - **NO SCHOOL** for students! It’s a teacher workday, so enjoy your day off! 🎩👗 **Thursday, October 31st** - **Halloween Costume Parade** starts at **2 p.m.!** Students may wear their Halloween Costumes to school! 💃👻 **Friday, November 1st** - **Halloween Dance & Haunted House** 💸 Dance entry: $2 per student 👹 Haunted House: $5 entry 🎶 **DJ Soundtastics** will be bringing the tunes! Note: We are accepting donations of store bought cupcakes for our concession. A large portion of money raised goes to paying for the DJ; the remainder will be used for end of year student activities (inflatables, field trips, awards). 🎃💥 **Pumpkin Drop Donations Needed!** Each classroom is creating a capsule for our annual Pumpkin Drop, and we need soft materials to protect the pumpkins. Old pillows, bubble wrap, or any other cushiony items are greatly appreciated! We can’t wait to celebrate a fun and spooky week with everyone! 🎉🧙‍♀️

One of our goals this year is to reduce the number of students who are chronically absent. At Man Elementary, we know that consistent attendance is key to academic success. When students are here, they have the best opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their full potential. Our new program is designed to celebrate and reward students who make it a priority to be here every day, ready to learn. From special recognition to exciting rewards, we're committed to making sure every student feels valued for their efforts. Originally from Chapmanville, Kayli is a proud graduate of Marshall University. She brings her passion for education and care to our school after completing her first full year of teaching at MMS last year. When she's not in the classroom, Kayli loves to spend her time gardening, crocheting, and enjoying the company of her beloved pets. Logan County Schools will be conducting a district-wide “Active Threat Drill” at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd. The purpose of this drill is to ensure our school community and first responders are better prepared in the event of a real threat. Please have a conversation with your child that this is simply a drill and there is no reason to be frightened; however, they should take the drill very seriously. We want to thank Logan County Schools and our first responders for making school safety the top priority.
